Lesson Learned By Life
 

Once you start to like something
And it becomes a need for you
You need that rush to keep you on your feet
It feels like an ultimate thrill of your life
And all of a sudden, BAM

Your world come crashing down
Like a ton of bricks
Your rush is in danger of dieing
Its riding on the brink of disaster

You see the bubble gums in the rear view mirror
As he walks to your car and shines the light at you
As you hand him your life and soul
He takes it like it a fucking nothing

Your friend is scared shitless sitting next to you
He gets out to talk to the devil himself
And is shot down, like a fucking bird
Nothing can help you now

He comes back and hands you your soul back
With that little pink slip that kills you
After you pull off and away from him
Your mind is going a million miles an hour
Pulling you in a thousand directions

After all this shit you are put through
You finally realize that you lost the war
And it will never be the same
In any way, shape or form

Your life will never be the same
And you think its bad now
Just wait and see what is yet to come
So enjoy the rush while you can
And it doesn't pay to do wrong

I think this is a pretty goo piece. I think it could have several meanings to the person reading it. All-in-all it was good for free verse...

i really liked this, such a collage of fear anger and rage that was confusing but it still prevailed with a sliver of understanding, nice drop, 1luv.

I personally know what it is like to get a speeding ticket. I've been given many and I've gotten out of many. It is like that one time where you see that cop walking up to your car, your heart sinks. I feel you, and this post has a lot of meaning to it. Just gotta keep your head on and keep going. Great poem
