Both Will Be Hurt The Same...
But They won't Flop. Jay-Z is Leaving With A bang(Black Album)
Nas is Bringing up The Lost Tapes Vol.2

gotaloveforrap 10-14-03 09:39 PM

^^^straigh wordness......jay z aint gonna flop, black should be tight.........nas wont go out wit a flop either......his is gonna be ill too.........where the hell ud get the idea there gonna flop?

peace......

Coast 10-14-03 09:46 PM

yea both will def be hurt, but sicne day last albium, it aint gonna flop

GameTime 10-15-03 01:48 AM

if they do flop (doubt it) Nas would be hurt more......he has already gotten a lot of heat for his 3 albums after Illmatic (which were all good). If he flops foo's will hate on his legacy definately.

wogzta 10-15-03 03:55 AM

^ actually, nastradums was a poor album. It was written and I am werent bad, but illmatic is about a 100 feet above them... just my opinion anyway

black album should be tight and id doubt lost tapes will flop, the first volume was awesome

C-Section 10-15-03 12:12 PM

this isnt nas's last album, its just his last album for the record label he is on.

D-Dizzle 10-15-03 12:15 PM

IT's hard to see any of them flop at this point in ther career....

But if the slim chance that it do....I think Nas will be hurt more..I mean Jay's leaveing anyhow so what does he got to lose...He got the classics in the books..he's got the money in the bank..He put hiself in a position to do whatever the fuck he wants too...if it flops then he'll still be rich..instead of just more rich.....Nas on the other hand don't really own shit...he got that whole Ill/Will Bravehard thing going but thats not gonna bring him that much money to retire..and he's not even talking bout retiring.. so if he flop this time out it's gonna be 'he we go again" with his fans and they not gonna keep buying his shit if he is falling off...

But like I said it's a very slim chance either one of them will catch a brick.........

Kobra 10-15-03 04:17 PM

both wont flop

i think Nas' album will be the illest out of em both

MuhThugga 10-15-03 06:54 PM

I can very easily see Jay-Z come out with another crap album....since Blueprint 2 was a worthless piece of shit......

zeebee198 10-15-03 08:45 PM

they cant please everybody, i think both will come out with good albums though

*Y_nOt* 10-15-03 09:39 PM

Idk, i doubt either one of their new cd's will flop. This is Jay's last cd and you know he's gone go all out and Nas's Lost tapes vol.2 should be hot also. Both should do pretty well

Da NFamous 10-15-03 09:43 PM

so adressing the question.....personally i think Jay's would be hurt more because he never really made his Illmatic (though RD was close) he doesnt have any legit classics and he to has been releasing shit, Nas on the other hand isnt making his last album, he does have a legit classic and if he makes more poor albums he has the ability to come back (Nastradamus to Stillmatic could be LT 2 to ???) 1luv.

HK The Great 10-17-03 01:58 AM

i think nas would cuz illmatic was classic classic shit and he only has about 6 albums and they were alll alright but illmatic outshines them all, so lets say it does flop, which it wont, No one will go wit out askin nas about that shit it will be his whole career
if jayz's black album did, so what he tight but commercial, and fuckin beyonce, no one will really care, outside of hardkore hip hop heads, and he has like fourty thousand albums and shit so it will go as a bad mark but nothin huge

MR. LEGEND 10-17-03 03:21 PM

It would most def hurt Jay, cause he's just comin off a loss. The gift and the curse was lackluster for a double album. This is his historic exit, he's gotta do it this time or he'll go out like Michael Jordan. People'll be sayin he shoulda quit 2 albums ago...

Nas'll be alright, most people who listen to Nas listen for the lyrics anyway, like what kind of shit is he gonna do this time. Jay is just the same ol' party and hustle shit.
