As i look on the smiles, love and hapiness you supplied
I could call you with my sighs, and with love you replied
Always wanted a father, and you gave me more than i expected
Our love unaffected, by any courses that inter-jected
The times you would beat mum when you were drunk
Sadly my love and respect rapidly shrunk then sunk
Tied the not at chance number one, to try abandon your love for me and mum
Next thing i know you have a kid, and he's your real son
Two kids and a wife who threatens suicide if you depart-her
And my mum left loving you like no-other, why should she suffer?
Buying cars and motor bikes to make life better
Your emotions non-existent, like a empty birthday letter
Seems like centuries since i smiled crossed your face
Using alchol like emotional steroids , but being happy is still a thin trace
I left and visited a year later, now your scared to show emotion
Your life is going no where, seems like slow motion
Everytime i remember your eyes, the smile when you saw me
Makes me drop a tear, how your eyes now stare so rawly
You taught me life, taught me right from wrong
Pray to god till i see you won't be long
Now i understand why you said: "You keep me Hanging On"
