Big Lurch Sentenced To Life In Prison
 

Antron "Big Lurch" Singleton was sentenced to life in prison yesterday, after being convicted of killing a 21-year-old woman, cutting open her chest and eating a portion of her lung.

Singleton had pleaded not guilty to the charges, claiming that he was insane at the time of the killing because he was under the influence of PCP.

Singleton was charged in the April 2002 slaying of Tynisha Ysais, 21, who was found in her apartment with her chest ripped open.

Ysais' boyfriend, Thomas Moore, testified that he and Singleton spent the evening prior to the murder smoking PCP.

Singleton was convicted of murder and aggravated mayhem in June, after a court ruled that his intoxication and plea of insanity were not satisfactory reasons for committing the crime.
