help with making punchlines
 

how long does it usually take some of you to make a punchline that really creative. sometimes my punchlines be creative and sometimes they don't. how lond did it take you to create a punchline when you first started. and do you guys have any tips. YES i read the tutorial.

I try to make punches out of everything I see...

When I actually battle the whole process takes 5-6 minutes usually...

when i first started...a DOPE punchline...3 minutes...now its like 10-30 seconds, my mind moves so fast with words

i still haven't gotten this punchline thing but i think i can do some pretty decent ones now... so when i do finally get it, it's gonna be on

anyway naw man its different for people and shit when i first started on RB which was in september i think i would think up punchlines but since it was my first time ever battlin with text i was newbie and it turned out to be played...and corny shit that people have already said...different people develop at different rates...anyway now i key up a verse in like 5-7 minutes...the most effective punches are one combined with personals...punches cant win by themselves u also have to have wordplay personals and consistency anyway punchlines should come naturally u shudnt try too hard to make one BTW u gotta read and expand ure vocabulary and knowledge to have new and sick punches

anyway just keep battling and try to battle people better than you and always do ure best and keep writtin and ure shit will get better...everyone wasn't great when they first began, not even the almighty chrit haha, so just keep it up dog and it will happen naturally

im a natural... ive been rappin for a minute. but what ive learned is THINKIN hard about a punchline just makes them harder to find...... to tell you the truth now like i can be doin sumtin that has NOTHING to do with rapppin but a punchline will hit me... like.... umm... "Only time ya album hits streets is on GARBAGE DAY"
