Sounds like Jay is coming at Common Sense in the song Moment of Clarity, produced by Eminem, on the Black album.

I don't know if people remember, but. . Common would always throw little jabs at Jigga, cause he talks about Bentleys, poppin bubbly and ice. . Maybe this is a response. . or maybe just another little witty rap. Sounds kinda direct though. .

jayz has been uppin common and talib lately, he was just on howard stern and shouted out underground rappers for not falling for what they stand for, in replace of money, and staying true to their roots...on the black album, moment of clarity is just givin people like talib and common some props...jay's actually getting at his fans tho (this is like the third diss to his fans), cause he's sayin he dumbs down his lyrics to make that money, to get a bigger fanbase...but i agree with it, cause mostly any artist with a huge fanbase, is gonna have like 75 percent of them being morons.

If it was a diss to Common then Jay is going to get humiliated....I mean......we all heard what happened when Ice Cube tried to step to Common.....

then he is actually giving commom props...

its not a diss, he is saying he would rather be like common and talib kweli but that doesnt sell. he was saying its common sence to do what makes money, instead of being like common sence and make music the way you like it
