Best/Worst live performers
 

aight now i'm not going to claim to have been to everybody's fucking show but i've been to enough. Best show i've seen is Jay-Z. His breath control is remarkable, he goes from song to song perfectly, he always has special guest, he encourages crowd perticipation better then anybody even sometimes bringing them on stage. And his choices in songs is always perfect.

Worst is Cam'ron. He has 200 damn diplomats on stage at once, he can't hold his breath worth of shit because of all the weed smoke so he has to fall back on a lot of his words, he doesn't move, Freeky Zeeky is way louder then he is, the shit just isn't good. Thats just my opinion.

Oh and nobody can front on a Public Enemy Concert, if you never been to one then you are lacking some major shit in your life. Bone thugs and Harmoney (only with Bizzy Bone) are always good cuz you can see them spit rapid fire live. Eminem hits every syllabule he just has a lot of uneeded bullshit in his shows (like Bizarre's fat ass)

Sage Francis by far has the best stage presence of anyone, he puts on the tightest show, so he has to be the best person I have seen live.

Prince Paul can completely kill the energy of a show when he step on stage, so he is the worst that I have seen.

Slug puts on a good show, but when I saw him he was fucking trashed, so it really detracted from it.

Kool Kieth Is also awesome in person, he has great crowd interaction, and can definately get shit going inthe right direction.

I dunno bout best live shows but apparantly Nas isnt good live, thats what I've heard, I dont know personally

Xzibit is pretty good
J5 is doope live
The Roots have a good show
Snoop is ok Live...

this kid got a slew of cocks in his mouth. Nas's shows suck thats why none of them sell out, he fucking moves around like he is being shot, the bravehearts are always there and they are horrible simply hearing their voice can ruin a show, Xzibit is ok. Luda lip syncs all his shit, and everybody can hear Lil Fate's annoying ass over him, Snoop's live shit sucks because of annoying ass Bishop Don Juan. J5's music sucks so why would i waste my time watching them perform? Only person on there that puts on a good show is tha Roots. Go somewhere and play small child it'll all make sense one day. Oh yeah and Kwali's shows are always good cuz he battles somebody from the crowd

^^Yeah, his dumb ass was on right after Eyedea fired everybody up, and he started doing skits and DJing with CDs and crap samples......I've never seen a crowd die so quickly. By the time Aceyalone was up, almost everybody was gone.No one thought Prince Paul would ever get the fuck off stage.

Best:
Brother Ali - If you haven't seen this guy. See him. One of the best live performers out there.

Murs - Another dope ass performer who just does anything and everything. I saw him twice. First time he smashed a TV.

Aesop Rock - Very dope live presence. I saw him with Mr. Lif chiming in for Aesop's background vocals.

Sage Francis - Always wanted to see this guy. But I hear nothing but good shit about his live stuff.

Slug - very dope, really knows how to get a crowd riled up.

Eyedea - Not that great on crowd participation, but he still can get the crowd moving with his songs and damn, you just need to hear Bottle Dreams live. Can't describe the emotion he emitts from the mic.

Worst:
Prince Paul - as stated earlier....STAY AWAY FROM ANY OF HIS SHOWS!!!!! If he is surrounded by a bunch of dope artists....then just just do something else while he is on stage. Go buy shit, catch some pics with the kool guys and some autographs and take it to your car. Good time to do anything else other than pay attention. Try booing him off stage. Worst performance ever.

Oddjobs - Maybe it was because they opened the Atmosphere show and you know how those openers go....you need them to pump you up. They didn't deliver.Wasn't feeling them at all. They did a freestyle session and each guy went for about 15 seconds and quite.

SA Smash - Opened for the Aesop Rock show. Wasn't really feeling them. They kept saying they were doing their last song, and then five songs after that would be their last song, and then five songs after that.......etc etc etc. One kool part was when Metro just started walking around the crowd and rapping, but they didn't do anything spetacular song wise and crowd participation was not there.

Reccomendations:
Gentle Jones - Delaware's number 1 emcee.....great stage presence, good crowd participation. Go see him.

Aceyalone - I didn't really pay attention to him. Good for the most part. No crowd participation. Everyone was just dead from that Prince Paul set. Acey even knew we were dead. Maybe 30 or less people were there by the time he got on stage.

Ugly Duckling - Nothing too spetacular, not too bad either. Just have to see them. Hit or miss.

Mr. Lif - Saw him at the Aesop show but he had like a 15 minute set by himself before Aesop Jumped in for the chorus on Success, and they both stayed on stage for the rest of the night alternating between songs. Not really enough to judge him. But from what I saw.....A-OK

Omni - Good stage performance.......kept the crowd in tune... nothing more to say really about him........

I HEARD Eminem is dope live...I haven't actually been to one of his performances though so I don't know.

We have a difference of opinion, doesn't mean one is right and the other is wrong just means we don't agree. I personally think J5 is lame, you think Jay-Z is lame, two opinions neither of them is wrong.

Just becuz Snoop got his show rushed that makes him good on stage? Nas not moving makes tha shit worse, then he starts 2 do this fucking awkard dance shit like he getting shot. And his choice in songs is horrible, maybe he got better i'm speaking out of when i saw him just a little while ago. After being booed 4 coming out to "Ether" he then was booed for doing that annoying ass song with Ginuwine, everybody knows two lame songs in a row and the crowd is and 4ever will be dead, ecspecially two songs at the beginning after the crowd had to make it through "Ochie Wally" and a slew of other annoying ass Bravehearts songs. That one Braveheart lip syncing and ad-libbing for him is 1 too many it takes the attention away from Nas.

Luda always lip syncs. I live in GA so i've seen Luda about 4 times on various bills or what have you. Lil Fate and I20's voice carries over Luda's every time. Nobody should even give I20's lame ass a microphone.

Eminem's stage performance is always good, b4 he brings Da Dumbass 12 out. Em's voice and breath control are amazing, any verse he spits on a CD he can spit in person.

But hey thats my opinion like i said I could be wrong, I've only sen a select few of these people's show. Maybe i saw them at they worse and other people saw them at their best.

As far as just str8 energy, Lil John takes the cake. I'm off to get a bullet proof vest for my Mainframe so that Meta5 don't "murk" me
