if i get a mixer, do i need a pre-amp??? n what is phantom power???... i wanna know about this shit.... i have a cheap dynamic mic right now, but can they go into pre-amps, or mixers??? n what is a good cheap condenser mic... like under 70$$$ n if i get a condenser, which is better for it... pre-amp or mixer???

pre amp is better for JUST that mic... cheap mixers tend to have very cheap preamps...

48V phantom power is simply the wattage needed to power a condensor microphone.

thanx syntax.... but if i get a 48v phantom power(at 40 sumtin $$$, which is great for me) would that be better than gettin a pre-amp???
