no, hes not one of the best, but he is pretty good... he's got one of the best flows, but he goes to far with the R&B type songs

az is underrated but not one of the greatest.

naw not one of the greatest of all-time, but i'll put his 'life's a bitch' verse on a song with anybody. AZ will go down as one of the most underated, its fucked up cuz he is kind of caught in the middle. He was tight as fuck wit Jay when they used to hustle (thats him in the dead presidents video, and his voice on the Reasonable Doubt "where you dissapear to son"), which was great when Nas and Jay were getting along, then when they started battling he got caught in the crossfire. Jay has made it public that he wants to sign his "brooklyn brother" to Rocafella, but he is 2 loyal and doesn't wanna shit on Nas, but Nas aint got a record label to put AZ on. So he is fucked.

He's definitely nice. Real nice. His delivery is one of the best ever, and his voice is so unique that even if he's coming bogus on the song, it's still listenable. The only reason he got the tag of doing too much R&B type hooks and songs is from 9 Lives which he recorded under MoTown. MoTown...of course it's gonna be R&B laden from front to back. Their producers don't know shit else. But I'd say definitely check out all of his albums. Doe or Die's a classic. Pieces of a Man I was really feelin', but a lot of heads didn't. Can't say that I've heard much of S.O.S.A. and good luck finding a copy of it. I didn't like 9 Lives, except for 2 or 3 cuts and Aziatic is a decent listen. You can check out the Firm too even though it was a humongous flop. There's a couple songs on it that those 4 managed not to fuck up.

Guested on Nas' Illmatic "Life's a bitch." Probably had (I.M.O.) the hottest verse on the song and sang the hook on that song. Made the classic album Doe or Die, with the ridiculous track Sugarhill on it. Made a cameo in Belly. You've really never heard of him?

9 Lives is definitely the worst album of his. If you only grab 1 other album of his get Doe or Die, then Aziatic then Pieces of a Man. If you manage to get a copy of SOSA, send me 1. That bitch is hard to find.

yeah i got SoSa, and it gives Doe or Die a run for its money. Had to cop that quickly when it dropped on the mixtape scene. Wasn't no "i'll get it next time i get up here" type shit, it was "have 10 on you wherever you go just in case" going on. Shits a banga, his delivery and voice control are what makes him dope as fuck.
