i was having a discussion with Emerge about which takes more skill.....text or audio??

SmokaJoka666: to be a good texthead u have to worry about structure, flow, if the other emcee will be able to understand ur punch, more complex metas/wordplay, a larger vocabulary...and stand out multis

SmokaJoka666: exactly....but...if the audiohead uses a complex meta/punch/wordplay...what do u think the listener will say??

SmokaJoka666: yes...but u see...if u look at it...it is also simplistic wordplay that can be caught by earshot....text wordplay in battles have to be cleverly put to surprise the emcee reading

i can write MAD deep shit, so can you prolly, now try and take what u wanna write, and put it into a conformity, a structure, of X amount of words per bar, and on a beat of X bpm. Its alot harder to take an idea, and express it 100% when u put a structure to it, not just paragraphs of writing.
