and somone told me to get a pre amp prosonus blue tube and a pop filter!!!! i have no clue wat they are and went to all the stores in ma city and couldnt find them!!!! wat are they and were can i get them?????

dont pay $280 for an audigy card lol. u can get them much cheaper. I dont know about the mic but im guessing its a dynamic mic. u dont want one of those. u want a condensor mic. The prosonus blue tube is a preamp. its pretty decent for the price. A pop filter is a mesh circle that goes in front of the mic. It is a necessity. You can find all this stuff at musiciansfriend.com. Get the sound card from ebay. make sure its new. and make sure the seller has more than 200 positive feedback with no less than 95% positive.

BTW youre also gonna need a mic stand and decent mic cable. Youll need 2 cables. If you get the Audigy, one of the cables need to have a 1.4" plug on one end.

I got a delta 66, 4 inputs and 4 outputs..
The quality is real nice, it only goes for about $180.
don't but a behringer mic, get a ShureKSM27
Also your going to need a mixer, if your looking for one...
I'd reccomend the behringer 'eurorack' series..
but please, don't get a pre-amp.......
you might have another instrument or mic that you need to mix..

^ did you just tell someone to NOT get a pre-amp? do you have down syndrome?...you do realize what mixers have on them right? If you can connect an instrument to it, it has a PRE-AMP...genius...

and a eurorack mixer BLOWS as far as a pre-amp..its not warm at all! a Presonus tube blows away all the competition at that price

i think u should be more experienced/serious with recording and shit before you go out and buy all this stuff that can get real expensive..cuz judging by what youve been sayin and askin.. and what youve DONE... you probably dont know shit about recording..and the right necessities... i mean shit.. your askin what kind of pop filter u need... just fuckin get one..who cares what kind,its gonna do the same thing..

and i recommend the behringer b-2 pro and presonus blue tube pre amp.. both can be easily found on musiciansfriend.com .. i have them for my setup and it works like a charm.
