I think name brands are the devil. Seriously. I aint never wear any clothes that has a label on them.

Right now, I've got old man velcro schoes. Black socks. A black pair of pants that had bleach splashed on them. But I don't care about the stains. These pants don't need a belt like my other two and there is a pocket in the front to carry brass knuckles and what not. Function over fashion. And I've got a gray hoodie with absolutely no markings except for the designs I drew on the sleeve with my marker, and a black shirt over that.

All my clothes either come from garage sales, or handmedowns of my brothers, or even just something I find. I have a black mesh hat that I found on the side of the road.

And y'know why? I don't rock labels? Because it promotes a class based system and puts an emphasis of fashion over function.

First, classes. There was a time that even if I wanted to rock a label I wouldn't be able to. I was poor. Still am, but now I've reached an age where I could get a job if I wanted to. And that is what's wrong. Because to get a label I need money and money comes from work which is given ultimately from the government sending the green poisoned paper into circulation as a constant reminder and influence of the government's control over us. And of course, if you're rich you rock labels, and if you're poor, you don't. And thus, there is a class based system.

As for fashion over function... I don't wear dresses. I don't wear skirts. And I don't wear baggy pants hanging off my ass. Because it's simply not functionable. You can't run in those clothes. Rather I wear pants that fit around my waist. The more pockets the better. Those function better.

And lates face it... that hundred dollar T-Shirt with 50-Cent's name on it... we all know it's going to get ruined as soon as you pull a single thread of it off. Durability owns fashion.
