It does seem to be a piece which you put a lot into. 'Measured' to good effect in a way. Instead of your usual slightly more on the edge style. But maybe the length of the piece made it seem that way. And there's no doubt that it didn't effect the piece in a bad way. I mean you kept that raw on edge style to go along with a slightly more measured approach.
I get the feeling i don't quite fully understand the piece. Or at least, what you're trying to say. I think it's about someone who has got used to pain, angst n melancholy around him. Tragedies of many kinds. Thrives on it as the 'sociologist' that has been spawned within him. Or has become him. And though it seems endless, finds a certain amount of security in the thought 'it can't be like this forever'. Though part of you 'knows' it aint true. Oh and of course, some insightful self analysation used to highlight this and more.
