yeah he's right^^^^ lol, if it aint saliva dried up on it , maybe it's Kool-aid or pop or some shit...or it could be from humidity and dust, or the wires might be fucked or the jack u plug into the soundcard might be shorted...........try playing with the mic wire and the jack while you're recording , and see what happens............If not.............. Try taking your mic and shattering it by whipping it on the street........REPEATEDLY
