New Year's Eve Qualms
IP:
After reading articles concerning the deployment of "federally-funded helicopters" to the New York City skies for tomorrow night's festivities, I was fairly concerned with our nation's well-being. At dinner, though, my qualms were furthermore solidified. My mom is a nurse at a locally prestigious hospital; however, it doesn't have many occupants in the winter (I live in a beach town - the exact location is clarified in the map at the bottom of this thread). Anyway, my mom tells me that there have been reports of numerous stolen ambulances in Manhattan and other parts of New York City. Upon brainstorming the options that these ambulances would give an enemy of our nation, my concerns are certainly not suppressed. It seems that the story hasn't been leaked to the press as of yet, for there is no news of it on CNN.com or Reuters. I am hoping / praying for a collectively safe New Year's Eve, but these terrible thoughts can't help but instill themselves in the back of my mind. Have a safe New Year's, everybody!
