go to preferences and choose THE SOUND CARD that is installed in your computer...then it should work...most sound cards are advanced enough to work with every program that is popular...it wouldnt be wise for either party to neglect that...

and installing a sound card is easy

open up your CPU

u'll find 4 to 6 open slots in the back (where you phone and LAN jack is)

u'll find an empty slot there

simply pop the sound card in (with the power off) and then start up your computer

your computer's plug and play feature will detect the new hardware and ask u to install the drivers

throw the supplied CD that came with the sound card and choose the CD drive to search for drivers

the computer will find the drivers and VOILA...ur sound card is ready

simple...
