just force of habit. i don't have cool edit. i use FL but always save shit in wav format when i'm done mixin. when it's time to upload sum tracks i use MM to convert to mp3 cus i'm too lazy to re-open FL, adjust the Mp3 save settings, and re-save. MM saves me several seconds cus i can mass convert all the finished songs at once.

by all means if ur using cool edit or any other program that saves in mp3 n u don't store files in wav format then u should save directly to mp3.
