Man, y'all are some serious pessimists....yes, long-distance relationships do work, and if you ain't got the strength to thrive while you're apart, you certainly ain't gonna be able to handle a lifetime commitment to anybody, long distance or not. You make it to the rough times with each other, then you can do anything. My man and I were in a long distance relationship for a year when I was 16 and he was 20. It was rough, and you can't help but suspect foul play going on on the other side of the court, but it was really just paranoia kickin in. Now, almost seven years later, we're married and got 2 little girls together, and you know what? It kicks ass, and that year apart made our relationship unbreakable. Good luck to the two of you.
