Except this country hasn't been in a war since WWII.
This conflict in Iraq was unjust, and we invaded Iraq 14 years ago for the same shit that we pulled last year.
And I know "The market" drives the economy since we are typically in a "market" system. Yet, the actions the president takes in the assing of bills affects the market. If the country is told that we are at war and need to ration resources, then of course the country is going to decrease spending on those resources because it is the patriotic thing to do.

And ever since 9-11, Bush and his cock jockeys have branded anyone who oppses him as a terrorist. Bush's reason for taking any action involves the word "Terrorism." I'm personally getting sick of it.
