I was in Dime(Crip) until about 2 years ago. Stupidest thing I ever did was join them. Nowadays...gangs are all about drugs and territory. Drugs just happen to lead to money. If you aren't down to do drugs, maim, kill, and break connections with friends at times...then don't join. Simple as that. If you are down for all that, then you're fuckin stupid anyway. Now, there's tons of areas in STL I can't go just because Dime put a hit out on me. Why? Cuz I left...nothing else but that. They dont' care if you're going to college, moving, whatever. If you leave them, it's like leaving your wife and kids...and they will murder you given the chance. Fortunately, I'm under Treetop Blood's protection along with a few others due to friends who stayed true. We were friends even when in rival gangs...just kinda on the downlow. It's retarded, if you have any sense, don't join a gang. If not, by all means, rid the world of another miscreant...we don't need em.

Also, for whoever said they uncle's cousin's little brother...or whatever...was runnin a town. That won't last. It's like a monarchy...and there's always a clerk or prince lookin to murder you at the opportune moment.
