jay z is tite as fuck, one of the best mainstream artist out. who the fuck cares how much albums he's sold? immortal technique, canibus, aesop, and all them underground artists have sold way less than the mainstreams and theyre still better lyrically wise, message wise, poetry wise, and almost everyfucking way. Jay knows the streets but he doesnt always talk about the streets, he switches up what he raps about, he touches on every subject from his relationship with his father, drug deals,, inspiration, and life. Definetely not the best emcee but does deserve alot of respect for some of the shit hes done. Since when the fuck do record sales have mattered when comparing how good an artist is? only ignorant fucks take that shit seriously. to quote immortal technique "so if you go platinium, it has nuthin to do with luck, it just means a million people are stupid as fuck"
