Meaning Jay Z is in those leagues. Especially with all the classics. He's put out as much material as any legend and it's just as good, if not better than their catalouges. He's just as old as KRS 1, Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D, Rakim, Kool G Rap, LL Cool J and all the rappers that carried the torch from the 80s to the 90s. Jay started in 88 with Big Jaz, went on tour with Daddy Kane and Main Source and even BURNT Big Daddy Kane in a battle in the early 90s. Primo, Ski, Mr Cee etc did the production on Reasonable Doubt for practically NOTHING because he paid his dues and was obviously a legend in the making. Jay Z made the guiness book of world records because of his magnitude in the hip hop market. He's not some pretty nigga making poppy songs because everybody's doing it. He innovates, people copy him. Jay became a legend from sheer skill, and there's nothing overrated about his skills or his career.
