Without Hip Hop being as exposed as it is in the grammys, the sad fact it...there would be no hip hop

Before you all jump on your soap boxes and start arguing how you WILL drive to mexico to get rap albums try and follow me here.

No exposure means that no one will take the liability to promote and release a rap album. If no albums are being made then rap is back to partys and back yard battles. If that happend, we do go back to skill over looks but then would I, who resides in NYC, know about this white rapper from detroit whos supposedly the NICEST... doubtful.

And about my previous statement in regard to underground music... someone has to believe that their albums will sell, hence they too require exposure...If your so lyrically inclined that you make Rakim looks like nursury rhyme, but are as black listed as Sheane O Conner (spelling?) at the vatican....trust me no one will invest money for your record deal.

This is based on opinion but im going out on a limb, most major record lables/distibutors are not run by anyone who gives a flying fuck about rap/hip hop... they just want to get paid.

As my friend Eric once said, he is an owner of a company that manages musicians "I dont care what they sing about or to who, as long as i am getting paid"

So for my closing argument, be happy that the grammys are promoting hip hop, even if its the talent less side...we have a foot in the door, from there we can bum rush our way in and force feed them true lyrics
