There are approximately 2 billion Christians in the world along with all sorts of press coverage about the movie and the controversy that Gibson is anti-semitic for making this movie. Gibson last directed Braveheart and in my opinion, was an awesome movie. With all those things behind this movie, how big of a moneymaker do you think it will be? Like we have churches buying up tickets even before the movie was released today and handing them out so people will go see the story of Jesus Christ. The fact that the movie is rated R might have some impact on sales, but with all the talk about it, I'm thinking people would go see it just to see what the buzz is about.
