Hey admins, here is my recommendation that would solve all your problems with people complaining about no mods and you would not need to worry about all the drama about who would make a better mod.

Hire your own moderating team. I know people who run companies that outsource cheap labor to webmasters. The employees are all college educated, know english, and would make a good addition to any site. How hard is it to close, move, and moderate threads? If you are probably thinking it would be expensive, that is not the case. You can get a full day's work for a few dollars a day just to have someone check in every hour or so and make sure everything is running smoothly. You don't have to worry about people being fair or not since they are employees and don't care. They just do the job. And if you are having problems with that person, you can fire them and bring in someone new.
