I come out pen and pad in shaking hands for a walk
And as I’m strolling slowly my brain starts to talk
To me about emotions and how I’m feeling inside
I have little pride and at one time my emotions died
But this time I think my emotions are on an incline
But I can’t forget all this distance, space, and time, so I’m
Sitting writing as I’m chained to my burden in the park
While my eyes try to focus as they contrast to the dark
Asking god and myself questions like: why must we be apart?
I’m tarring apart and it’s weighing heavily on my heart
As I sit thinking so hard that I believe my brain stops
The skies quickly part and cry hitting me with raindrops
That are so profound it cleanses my brain as I reminisce
About my precious miss and all of her beauty and bliss
I then pen notes to tell myself I’m in this till the end my friend
As my spent tears and the raindrops blend to make my ink bend
Into the shape of a heart, so I’m telling you this is profound
I’m glad it was you I found but ma I can’t always be around
So save this and whenever you’re feeling down take a look
And remember our hearts mesh together even in this poetry book.
