wow im surprised at you ppl (especially LK's comment about Queen)
1st off the real true queen of "Hip Hop" underground, and she had the ability to bring it to da streets is MC LYTE....(check up on ur history ppl lol)
THE FIRST infleuental female emcee was Queen herself Queen Latifah she made the industry get up and listen to wat these "femcee's" have to say..check ur interviwes ur underground stats of femcee's go to any freestyle competition...ask some femcee's the same question..most will tell u that Queen was an inspiration to wat they are trying to accomplish now...Lil Kim has given recognition to Queen...Foxy has given props to Queen...In 1993 Mc Lyte had an interview with a black mag giving her success the accomplishments of Queen..Eve gave her props in Vibe..She was the first one to use street "words and rhymes" not "multie's and structure" to sale millions and get her points to the Hip Hop audience...SO with that I say that the Queen of Hip Hop is Queen Latifah (U.N.I.T.Y) and the princess is MC LYTE (Lyte as a Rock-Ruff Neck)
the rest of the female rappers that followed are doing well with their creativity...giving they got the chance from the Queen and Princess....
