Ya know, it seems like yesterday I heard my preacha say
today is the day of salvation for you and everyone in every nation
now I knew what he meant but every week at church I spent
just sittin there not seemin to care
there was a poundin in my heart that would not part
and I knew what I had to do but just didn’t want to
til the poundin went from my heart to my head and what you think I said
I took a sigh closed my eyes and said to the Most High with a loud cry

My life needs to change beyond the normal range
I need You to come in and save me from my sin
and my life was changed yeah, yeah, my life was changed

ya know, walkin the narrow path is harder than I thought it would be I was staggerin and strugglin that everyone could see
I got away doin things I shouldn’t be doin
cussin up and down the hall and sayin I hated all of ya’ll
well God convicted me, told me to turn back to Him and go and reach all of them but I said no way Man I like it better over here in the dim
so emotionally, He slapped me around up and down town til I finally found I needed to turn around
so I took a sigh closed my eyes and said to the Most High with a loud cry

My life need to change beyond the normal range
I need You back in control from the depths of my soul
and my life was changed yeah, yeah, my life was changed

now look at me you can plainly see
God took my life and turned it into a knife
so I can be a witness to every boy and girl and He can be praised throughout the world
and take a lil advise from me and don’t mess around with eternity
cause I believe verse 1 was my last chance to give God a second glance
so look in the change in the way I pray to my God from that yesterday without the sigh I close my eyes and say to the Most High with a loud cry

My life has changed beyond the normal range
I thank You God for helping me with Your rod
