the jay z and nas beef started about 1 to 2 years after the death of the notorious BIG king of the east coast.well hes dead there neeeds to be a new king.well there was two rappers qualified to take that spot jay-z and nastrodamis.the 2 started beefin.so basiclly the winner got to be king.there was no blatent winner that is why jay-z put up the winner takes all battle not only does the winner gets the 2 mill but the braggin rights to say he is the king of the east coast.
