This is a decent drop.

Good concept. This was all I was really feeling though:

it would be all over in a matter of seconds without even blinking/
i'd have my brains splattered all over the sidewalk so ppl could see what i was thinking/

Nice lines, but they'd be better if you reworded 'em.
