maybe not anymore, but it did start in the inner city tho.. basically in the streets, there was no rap industry or tours back then, they had battles on the side walk in front of the grocery store, and woould brake dance to stereo's in fromnt of there house or at the park... that's where it originated, the streets, if u will..
