hip hop is a culture
rapping is part of the culture, as is b-boying...and dj'ing...
cash money records was NOT good for hip hop... as emcees, they lacked talent...originality, and they lacked the power to "deliver a message"...which is a MC's main job...thats what its all about....sending messages...
not JUST getting signed to a label for 30 million, and acting like you been rich your whole life... all they do is ramble about non sense...."gator boots, i got a diamond tooth/ i got proof that i pop dudes/"
gay shit.... hows taht helping hip hop? whats the worst year for our culture? 2000....which just happens to be the year cash money records went commercial....there the reason alot of non hip hop people think "rappers" are all about bling bling shit...they are ruing the culture...creating more stereotypes...and basically making us look bad...THATS why i dont like cash money records.
and them flaunting like there infinetly rich creates a wave of following rappers that want to be like that, so they rap like cash money, which further degrades hip hop.... in the south particularly....
