“His Smile”

On the cross, where life was tossed at what cost?
To wash away the sins of the world, which is already lost,
You sacrificed so much for us, and from the beginning we had little promise,
The only one even near you who was great was the only Saint Thomas,
I swear to you god, I’ll devote my life to you and your mother Mary,
When times get rough and the world gets scary, under your wing fear I’ll bury,
On the contrary it is for other, who devote their lives to satanic ways,
They will pay, for turning their back on who the needed, you they don’t praise,
Over and over in my mind it plays, the days you gave your life for us to live,
You overcame so much pain for us, even a few spears to the ribs…
If I could go back that day to meet you god, what would I do?
I would take the following actions just to give my life to you,
I would approach you on the cross, and give you a big hug,
Fall to my knees and be reduced to a small little bug,
Compared to you, I would draw close to you and whisper that I’m glad you’re here,
Together this is our final frontier, but just to know you’re here, it’s gone my fear,
But in the final time of your life here with me and the rest of mankind, I would nod,
As I come up to you, and do the final things to help you get to your father God,
I’d kiss your feet, you’d look at me and say, “Your love will be worthwhile”
And as he left his body unto heaven, he left me with the burn of his beautiful smile,
