Ok I feel like everyone is getting off topic. I was talking about ghetto passes and how black people hand them out to their favorite white people to start a discussion on how it's detremental and perpetuates a cycle of stereotypes among other problems as well. I believe there is no such thing as acting black , but I ALSO believe that there is a such thing as trying to immitate what you dont understand or have a full appreciation for, which can be offensive to those who know the struggle personally. The whole point is we need to stop labeling things. Period. If who you are is influenced by hip-hop thats cool, just so long as you are being a true individual because hip-hop is primarily abouot being an individual and standing out...
