Air struggles to enter my lungs, anxiety constricting motion
I step in close, pause as I inhale the sweet scent of her lotion
I feel her face transfigure into a mirror image of mine, joy
Elongating the moment, I play with her hair like a child with a toy
Her hands snake around behind me, and pull me in close
My heart leaps in apprehension, and I struggle out of being comotose
I gaze down on her, the sweet scent of her shampoo greets me
My mind flashes to a possible future, a house, far from the city
Her lips jolt me back to reality, my eyes instinctly shut tight
I feel joy wash over me, there is no more cause for anymore fright
