WHo gives a fuck about an age limit.. Shit even a 12 year old can dig up two bucks, just cash in some cans shit.. Also you could just make it so you the tourny starts when all the money is in.. If not enuff people join kick a few out and just make it for less people.. Of if only a few show up, refund there money..Easy..

An yes, its tru shadows making money off it, but he's also providing it...Shit when you go to Real rap battles an like 1000 people come, at a 16$ door fee, an 1st place only gets 2000$ were do you think the other 14G's go??? Same thing goes here cept the winner will walk away with more of the pot than in a normal rap contest..
I personaly think this is an ill idea, an I'd do it.
