Da Vinci's $500,000.00 Riddle!!!

You are in a two story house. Upstairs there is one room. Downstairs there are three rooms. Upstairs there are three light switches. Each lightswitch controls one bulb in each of the three rooms down stairs. Your job is to find out which light switch goes to which room. You can not use any assistance from other people, strings, mirrors as you are by yourself. How do you do this with only going downstairs once and not being able to come back up.
