Twas da night in da hood,
Not a nigger was out neither was the hood.
As the crack pipes lay scattered about,
I could hear passing kids as they bougt their bag with a shout,
As the hood slept in fear dreaming of 9's and their weed,
but all they got was all in their heab,
but out of the blue I jumped with a fear,
as I tour off my covers and dashed to the bear,
I could hear the not so jolly st. LPD.
I watched through the window as they round up the hood,
and as the homies threw their bud,
I could hear the jolly laughs of the cops,
as they poped off their caps in the air,
as the night was over they buckled up in their cars,
and they shouted good night to all for you have lived another day.
