Many strive for the very things to many men have journey'ed for
The very thing that have led men to the graves and to start wars
Who was it that said money makes the world go round?
Its wierd something so simple but many fail to realise how its so profound
Stradom, fame, celebrity all things that can bring them to touch their dreams
So one day they can can sit back, relax and just stare at how their gold gleams
I'll do whatever it takes,they so often say, so that riches I attain
No pain no gain, its horryfying the things people quote about those who maintain
Fame and forune can be sub-divided into divisions and explored universally
Because everywhere around the world, men fight for fortune personally
From murderers, to assains to drugs, to the tragic story of a fallen street thug
Many fail to realise the stem, the core that holds it and acts as a plug
It causes eys eo shine, eyebrows to raise, shame it cant cause sadness to fade
So many have reached that plateau and realised that the dream is a facade
The American Dream, the land of oppurtunity, work for ourself and you succeed
Please, people have been victorius, but few have found what they need
The African civilisations of old, survived for millenias with out currency
As history states, the Europeans came, and brang with them the sin of greed
Fame and fortune, what a cacthy phrase, but watch your friends
Cos behind you there smiles and looks will turn to an envious, evil gaze
I sit here and reflect about the theme's connations as if all negative
What can I say in the modern world of wars and lies its hard to be positive
But I must confess, through much stress, and with God's eternal bless
Many have progressed, worked through the world mess to success
Through blood sweat and tears, and the shedding of their own blood
Many have risen form the ashen heaps to the promised heights above
Fame and fortune, an idea that in our dimension keeps many alive
Gives them the hopes, aspirations to stay pure and survive
Pushes people to educate their minds and expand their conscious
So one day they may sit back and give the seeds of tommorow promise
Give the world's evoluion respect and as I sit back and reflect on fame and fortune
I expose its pitfalls and advantages as my mind spins in the eye of the storm
Because I write my poetry with God's spiirit in my being
Because Fame and Fortune is a concept and idea, worth seeing
