i havent read one post in this thread.....but heres my honest response...

do i love hip hop??? with all my heart. she is a part of me and always will be.

i first got into rap music in the mid to late eighties ('86-'89). the music was amazing and different. it was all about having fun and expression and as a young knuckle head...i felt it toughly. shit has changed alot since then (for the better and for the worse).....but hip hop is my girl.....and i love her. i got into graffitti in '94......and tagged my muthafuckin' ass off in the cold darkness for many a year since then. i started spittin' about two years ago and continue to do so with all of my heart now. i never got the opportunity to scratch since i was never around a d.j. until my later years......and im a bonafide cracker.......so i dont dance (that means breaking was out of the question....lol/jp).

to some of you, that might not mean shit.......but truthfully.......it was "the wiggers" like me that paved the way for other "white kids" to be accepted in the culture today. i've had to defend myself and my love for hip hop since before "we as a race" were allowed in......thats alot of years. in my day.....we werent as embraced as we feel we are at this point in time. i heard shit from the blacks.....i heard shit from the whites. i didnt fit in with either side. yes i had tons of friends on both sides......but me and my cohorts were the rebel faction. we never knew that things would blow up and become what they are presently. i represented.....battled.....fought......and deserve to be here today. im glad that i did so. if i could go back and do it all again, i would.....in a second. the war was well worth the tears, headaches, names and bloodshed. lets continue to surpass imagination and build in her glory. word.
