Colorless arrays of darkness encompass my soul
And the evils' laughter is silent, but i feel it whole
The alley leads to nowhere, but i've been intrigued
By this black hole of nothing, that others perceive
As to be, a realm to a treacherous world of misery
But i dont trust opinions, i need to see it for me

I step quietly on the unorganized crumbling street
But the fear in my heart moves to my trembling feet
Causing me to stop suddenly, and venture no more
Thinking about the catacysts of problems in store
This alley could lead to my death, or invigorate me
But darkness is a metaphor for death figuratively

I slowly pace fowards, moving quite caustiously
Stop again, but leaving would be a loss for me
I need to move towards this adventurous alley
Forget opinions, to me they are only fallacies
Falacious ideas followed by idiotic statements
So i yearn to progress foward on the pavement

Scattered garbage bags, open dumpsters, rats
Graffiti cans, everything from boxes to gnats
No signs of life or movement, silently cruising
I see someone straying!! no.. just an illusion
It's so confusing, i've never seen this alley before
Constant silence, for this street forever more

Out of the corner of my eye, i see an illuminating site
It's a door, across the floor, and it's sparkling bright
I move quickly, breath in strokes, until im there
I go to touch the doorknob, and it dissapeared
And reapeared a man of a monstrousness size
With grimacing features, and atrocious eyes

I backed away quickly, he was delightly resolved
But the fear in my heart made me slightly apalled
The man spoke gently, in a quiet whisper at most
My soul is stuck in this door, but i desire to float
With no way to leave, i must prespire to fight
And try to escape from this most laborless life

I turned and ran swiftly, frightened by his words
And made it back to the quiet ends of the burbs
I thought i was dead, i really came much too close
And walked into an alley filled with a bunch of souls
