We’re alone inside an old shed, outside theres more bloodshed
From the raids of war, back and forth, shouts near my bunk bed
Half the neighbors have fled.. Unfamiliar soldiers and gun shells
So empty, but plenty delivered in bodies, faces missin sum detail
The water I brought to my face to clear my thoughts a tragedy daily
Lately, the earliest shadow of sunset shows my faith as it’s fading
The one I ask for help, does not answer, we answer our own prayers
I’m lookin for the reasonable explanations, but even those aren’t there
-Lookin amongst the ground, the nearest sound, I stepped on used flare-
My heart jumped probably higher than young children testin mines
Told they would be fine, Rebels dress them up in heavy material blind
The little souls used for someone’s escape route, there’s no comfort
The men are aggressive, a lesson is women are forced to be mothers
Liberty is unlawful, quite awful how our world is collided into fueds
Of other kinds.. The Nike, Reebok, Filas.. Shoes we’d never used
Our rare supply for food.. What countries consider as extreme fasting
Is an average meal, for the elders, the wells without water it’s drastic
We pass these things because I’m used to the shortage, it’s normal
And natural for our surroundings to look horrible, admit our troubles
But continue to struggle for dreams of bigger nations is not our quest
We have yet to establish a future, that may be criticized nonetheless
And we want no harm amongst those who died trying to protect cultures
Once grown and practiced for a long time now.. Our religion is open
And the doors have never been closed to those who plead to return
try to understand our difference, comparing 2 worlds.. bout time u learn
