To those who think RB's oldtimers are a bunch of snobs, it's not that. But when you have been apart of a community like this for 3+ years, shit gets repetitive you know. Imagine having to assist people on a daily basis, some of them repeatedly because not everyone on these board knows how to actuallyt rap, so sometimes you help a guy once and he's fine other times, a same guy could be askin the same feedback for months, maybe even two people at a time. The people who are seen as snobbish aren't really that, they're cool just we don't have as much time to tutor every newcomer that needs help, that's why there are member you help each other as well, and generally after being on a board for 3 years or so you start on outside projects so you can't blame them for not catering to your every desire.
But over I have begun to notice new people have less uhh, they are less functional. Like they will register, not ready any rules and jus post randomly "who wants to battle" without any regard for how the site functions. And in general, nothin is talked about anymore. People make threads about their dog pissing on the rug or what they did the other day. and in some threads they don't add anything to the conversation jus "lol" or "dat's tight" I mean sometimes a "lmao" is warranted but don't jus post to post, post to say something.
As far as ya'll text battles go, voting, is shit, it has and always will be. I remember on RM no matter how many times you upped a piece it still seemed like people went out of their way to not look. And the new methods now work to an extent but you can't expect them to be perfect. People are generally more interested in helping themselves than helping others, so voting will always suffer due to that. Audio, man... I dunno, if a site does have name brand aliases like "DZK, Nimrod" or some shit, it's audio section remains poo, I dunno wtf is up with that.......
well...... that's it.
