Man, I see this shit on boards all the time. One guy's mom's co-worker's daughter's mailman knows someone from some record label (big or small) and they're going to "talk to them". Dude talks to em - maybe raps on the phone and next thing you know, their would-be A&R says "yeah, it's pretty cool" and niggas immediately think they're getting signed. Start having dreams of money cars and slutty women. Why?? A&R's tell people "we'll call you later" to brush you off. They don't meet appointments all the time, don't return callsm etc. - these are brushoffs. they know a money earning opportunity when they see one and they'll persue it. When they're interested the first thing they'll say is "when can you come in" and that's when you come in with some recordings on a CD, get grilled, and forced to buss ahunnit bars for your freedom, they'll mill it over amongs them selves and make you an offer. But if you don't even hear "when can you come in" they're not interested and you're not going anywhere. Sorry.
So stop coming on and saying you're about to get signed. You couldn't get a deal in a card game!!!
