the people in here that are the most correct are Ultimate Spy and Doomsday...their opposing thoughts but they both got the correct idea far as I'm concerned, they're the 2 people that have their eyes open the widest in here...

my agreeance with Doomsday is on all that stuff about how racism and "slavery" is still present today but my question is, why are we stuck dwelling on the PAST form of slavery instead of being blindened to the CURRENT state of slavery?...we should all know by now that public housing and welfare was made to keep black people in one area so the poor could be here and the "rif raf" could be in one area then the other people wouldn't be "disruopted" by the little "niggers" or whatever...we know this but do NOTHING about it...but my question is, why don't we as black people do something about it?...black people will be in the 'hood for generation upon eneration and they only see rap or sports as a way to get out of Heaven, when you get throat cancer from smoking weed or blow out your knee you got no brains to use to get up out the 'hood cuz you smoked it all away or your ass thought you wre so smart and got caught selling some shit to ANOTHER black person in your 'hood...why kids in the 'hood got on Roca Wear and Jordans but they parents and grandparents been in the 'hood for aGes?...why do black people value material things so much instead of tryina get out of the 'hood that they complain so much about?...stop being contradictory and then maybe people will see blacks differently if we quit selling ourselves so damn short...

and I hate when people say because I didn't grow up in the 'hood I'm an "Uncle Tom" cuz I haven't gone through the same shit, cuz I've never smoked weed and don't know any drug dealers and make it a point NOT to do so...just because you grow up with some of the better things in life doesn't mean you've sold out or are an "oreo" like dude said about Collin Powell farther up in the thread...we, as black people, need to re-examine ourselves...Ultimate Spy is right, we buy into the same stereotypes we hate white people assuming that we are...the 1st thing we have to do is realiZe that yes our ancestors were slaves but we don't have to be any more...we're not physically slaves but we still have that slave mentality and that's never gonna change unless OUR generation sees this and stops the cycle from repeating itself again...

P.S. the N word is just that, a word...you use it how you want in what context you want and the meaning of it changes...just like nigger and nigga...same FUCKin' thing...
