I agree with most of this - but The 'fan' dosen't dictate what the artist makes. The Artists dictate what the fans buy. Image consultants and PR reps are the ones who impress you with this tacky-ass garbage. Why are you impressed by it? Because they phantom-peer pressure you into thinking you're the only one that dont' like it. then they bribe the radio stations for 6 spins a day and play it till you like it. Then say "yo 1 million sold!!" when SoundScan is the most forgable shit ever. Mariah said she sold 1mil albums when only 600,000 were printed at the time - rappers don't do it much differently.

Now you think you're A: the only person that don't liek this rapper and B: the onyl person that didn't get the CD. Hook, line, and sinker.
