The Day

Up early at sunrise/ Where the wise rise/ Truth no lies
Clean up/ Inside and out/ Straight to the God no doubt
Praise my God and thank Him/ Another day I have risen
Prepartions have been prepared/ The day already written
Moving in the dawn/ Methods and logic about to be fitting
To the task/ As the hours past/ Iwork to last
At mid-morning I am on it/ mind still lit/ still on hit/ no quit
Approaching noon/ Sun high/ All blue sky/ Do or die/ No room
For error/ Always lookin at the man in the mirror/ See a bit clearer
Gets my heart a bit more dearer/ No fearer
As I go foward with the time/ As it ticks with a rhyme/ No crime
Righteous thoughts/ For righteous constructs and conduct
Conducting self/ Eating righteous for health
Mental and Physical as I after noon/ No room... soon
Push harder/ Shadows grow longer/ As a warner
Of what is to come/After two o'clock is almost done
The final hour is three/ Got all my money
Closing shop ya see/ To go see/ What my W-I-F-E
Has cooking for me
The time is four/ Getting ready for
My dinner that I have earned today/ Reading today for tomorrow today
Now it is family talk at the table/ Keeps us able
And willing/ For tomorrow building
Another prayer after my meal/ Its all real/ I call it a seal
And this just is a brief look/ Of a book/ That I took
Of a page/ That weighed
With substance/ Of come uppance
And decency/ All firm... no leniency
The law we follow/ Everything solid... no hollow
The God seperating the night/ From the day... check the light
Its open mic
or is it mick/ Sick wit it
Make hay in the sunshine/ Work hard for the blind
To see tho'/ And flow/ And flow day/ For day flow
At night/ I'm in tho/ When I see The Day go
