prometheus was chained to a rock where vultures came down and ate his organs everyday and they kept growing back so he faced the same punishment everyday over and over but hercules freeded him in one of his journeys and atlas holds up the world he tried to trick jason into holding it forever when jason was getting the golden apples from the tree that only immortals could pick but jason tricked him back and said just hold it while i adjust my shoulder pads and when atals took it back he ran off
