^ maybe, but look how much gang violence and shit there is, not saying all gangs are black, but more of em are, and look at what they listen too, mainly rap, so you could say rap has that influence.........man, i agree with you on the shouting type metal is crap (unless you play guitar then some of the shit they do is pretty sweet)....but there is some good rock n' roll out there that has good meaning to it as well
