it's not even what's being said, it's how it's being said. If you read L.I.'s verse vs. the top verse, the top verse's rhyme scheme is 1-syl (which I been saying since I first got here) which is straight up 80's. L.I is 2-syl which is a step foward for sure. Not to mention, the transitions in the first verse are nonexistant, which L.I's isn't too far beyond either. Lke the rhyme scheme is redundand and dosen't make and smooth changes, they're all abrupt. Like you jsut deliver your two bars that rhyme and go and start completely different on the next set. Like the verses are just strips of thoughts put together instead of one fluid piece. that's my 3ยข on it anyway on what I observed. And even L.I.'s verse wasn't like cutting edge woah-ness. Just more recent than the one above it.
